As Arnold points out, we need some way to reproduce the problem.
But here's a random question: if you check out the feature/fixtype branch, is
the bug still present? The 31c6051694d3152e50eb037e20c4734c7321eac6 commit
patches some code in interpret.h (Op_field_spec) that has changed in
that branch. Or it could be the Op_store_var code causing the trouble...
