source line not avalaible in GDB

Hi
I don't know if this is a bug but I can't get support fron any other list.
I'm new to GDB. I'm using GNU gdb 5.1.1 I found out this strange behaviour. 
Sometimes after recompiling my program and load it in gdb I get the following 
strange messages when I put a break point

No line 197 in file "nlswe2d.for".

althogh I can list the line and get the correct information about the source 
file from the command "info source".
Can anybody give me any hints?
