Thank you for requesting an application for, or information
about, computer science graduate study at Virginia Tech.

Please note: the departmental deadlines for application to
the Computer Science Department are February 1, for Fall
Semester and October 15, for Spring Semester. For an
application to reach the department by one of these dates,
the application needs to reach the Graduate School two to
three weeks prior to the departmental deadline. We do not
review Credentials submitted in any manner other than
through the Graduate School on the official application
form.

The application form can be printed directly from:
      http://www.grads.vt.edu/homeapply.html
You may also go to the Computer Science web site listed
below and apply to the graduate school directly online.

If you do not have access to the Web or are unable to print
an application, please send by return e-mail only your full
name, postal address, and the semester for which you are
applying. A hard copy of the application will be mailed to
you. Please keep in mind, international mail can take as
long as 8 - 10 weeks processing and mailing time. When
your request is entered into the Graduate School data base,
you will receive an e-mail confirmation.

We also encourage you to visit the Computer Science
Department's Web site at http://www.cs.vt.edu for
information on courses, professors, admission requirements,
funding opportunities, and the graduate program in general.
The site provides you with immediate information, and more
information than is in the application packet.

Questions and requests other than for an application will
be handled separately as quickly as possible.

Thank you,
