Starting January 2001, the eletter will be formally coordinated
through the Control Systems Society of the IEEE. The format of
the eletter will be retained in its present form due to its universal
appeal. However, a few changes in the submission process are being
incorporated to bring eletter up-to-speed with the internet age. The
official site for all the information about various eletter related
issues is:

The process and changes are briefly summarized in next few paragraphs:
 
 
1. Format: As mentioned before, the format will remain identical to
   the present one and the layout will be retained for the sake of
   continuity. However, simultaneously two versions of the eletter
   will be created. One that will be strictly plain text (as it is
   right now) which will be mailed at the begining of each month to
   the subscriber list. The second version will have the same format
   and information; however, the topics and table of content will be
   hyperlinked. This version will be hosted on the IEEE Control
   Systems Society's official web site at the following URL:

2. Submission: The submission will be done entirely over the internet.
   Potential contributors should follow the submission page link:
 
 
      http://www.ieeecss.org/cgi-bin/PAB/eletter/submission.cgi
 
   Note that for the widest dissemination possible, it has been very
   strongly recommended that no mark up (html or flavours) be put in
   the newsletter that will be e-mail. Accordingly, all submission must
   be strictly "plain text". Any markup will appear as html gibberish
   rather than formatted text. Further instructions regarding submission

3. Subscription to eletter: New subscribers may go to the following

   Note that sometime in December, all existing subscribers will
   be sent an e-mail with individualized passwords for their accounts
   which they can later use to unsubscribe from eletter mailing list.
