Difficulties with embedded Type2 CIDFonts in pdf files |

Ghostscript version:
GNU Ghostscript 8.01 (2004-01-30)
Example file:
http://fontforge.sf.net/hidden/pr-Ambrosia.pdf
Description of problem:
When this file is displayed with ghostscript the umlauted glyphs
in the third line display as missing glyph boxes.
When this file is displayed with xpdf 3.00 or Acrobat Reader 5.0
the umlauted glyphs display correctly.
The file contains an embedded truetype font which is accessed as
a CIDFontType 2.
The problem may be mine (I have just added pdf output to
fontforge, though the file does display correctly in acrobat)
but if so, I can't figure it out and would appreciate any
pointers you could offer.
Please respond directly to me as I shall be unsubscribing from this list
