A more interesting question might be:
Why compiling with -ansi if wanting non-ansi features?
(I assume timercmp is non-ansi, otherwise it wouldn't be hiddent behidn
_BSD_SOURCE, correct?)
It seems that the easier solution might be to not use -ansi.
