Hi,
I downloaded glibc 2.2.4 and linuxthreads.
And 'make install' is failing on my Redhat 7.1.
As per the FAQ, my make version is 3.79.1, which is >
3.78.90 which was giving a make error (FAQ 1.19)
My gcc is 2.96 and current glibc version is 2.2.2.
make and make check ran successfully as non root
without any errors.
These are the commands I am giving.
../configure
--prefix=/home/yukku/glibc-2.2.4/glibc-install
--enable-add-ons=linuxthreads
install_root=/home/yukku/glibc-2.2.4/glibc-install
make install
This is the error I am getting with make install -
make[2]: *** No rule to make target
`/home/yukku/glibc-2.2.4/glibc-build/dlfcn/libdl.so.2',
needed by
`/home/yukku/glibc-2.2.4/glibc-build/elf/sprof'.
Stop.
make[2]: Leaving directory
`/home/yukku/glibc-2.2.4/elf'
make[1]: *** [elf/subdir_install] Error 2
Is there still an issue with make 3.79.1 ? Or am I
missing something.
Thanks in advance !
yukku
