@Kim Cascone:

Gnash has fairly good Flash v7 support, and the gnash developers are
actively working on Flash 8, Flash 9, and ActionScript 3 support.

Per http://www.gnu.org/software/gnash/#enhancement, you can request an
enhancement for gnash by emailing address@hidden . If you would like
to report a bug for gnash, please use
https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?group=gnash .

The gnash developers rarely look on launchpad for bugs or enhancement
requests. I am marking this bug as invalid

** Bug watch added: GNU Savannah Bug Tracker #group

** Changed in: gnash
       Status: New => Invalid

Status in GNU Flash movie player: Invalid

Bug description:
I had heard from the bug hunters that Gnash was not broken but that a flash
video format had changed
this is really unacceptable since most flash video content will not play in
Firefox
the only flash video content that WILL play is YouTube - no surprise there
since Google is a Linux shop
:(
please fix whatever the problem is? pretty please?
