Holly,

You are correct.  This idea was brought up about 2 years ago.  The
help I can offer is that it can be done.  A script that would take
your input data (like state=closed) and the list of PRs.  The script
would just loop over each PR. It would have to retrieve the PR, make
the edit, and then save the PR back.  One side effect might be a
plethora of emails.
