Thanks Jimmy for some very useful points. Nice to hear from some
nupedia people.
Anyway, I've been thinking about your remarks and those made by
others on this list. Given that:

as you say you'd appreciate technical type help it seems to me that a case
could be made for GNUPedia to be a software framework/ platform for
creating/hosting/mirroring/running Open Content digital Encyclopaedia.
nupedia.org to be an instance of a GNUPedia 'compatible' (using the GNUPedia
framework) encyclopaedia.
I.E. the GNUPedia project (people on this list, for the sake or
argument) take the software and process you put together and expand it into
a 'best it can be' general free software framework for free content 'pedias.
You would then use this framework for running your nupedia.org site and
serving your content.
This is just a suggestion, an idea. What do you think?
