Error in chess

To Whom it May Concern,
        I was playing a game of gnu chess on an iMac OSX version 10.2.8. I did
not receive an error message, but there was a problem in the game. I was
playing white and I moved my pawn from a2 to a4. I was captured en passant
by the black pawn on b4. Several moves later, I undid my moves back to the
point when I moved a2-a4. Although the program undid all of the moves and
replaced the black pawn on b4, my pawn on a2 did not reappear. In fact, I
undid all of the moves back to the beginning of the game. The pawn never
reappeared.
        It is certainly not crucial that this problem be fixed on my computer,
but I wanted to let someone know for future versions of this program.
