This bug report will be sent to the Free Software Foundation,
not to your local site managers!!
Please write in English, because the Emacs maintainers do not have
translators to read other languages for them.
In GNU Emacs 20.7.2 (hppa2.0-hp-hpux10.20, Motif)
of Thu Dec 14 2000 on nbghs10
configured using `configure --with-gcc
--prefix=/vol/freeware/HP-UX-B.10.20/emacs/20.7
--sharedstatedir=/vol/freeware/HP-UX-B.10.20/emacs/20.7/share
--with-x-toolkit=motif --x-includes=/usr/include/X11R6
--x-libraries=/usr/lib/X11R6 --with-pop'
Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:
sometimes when I try to fetch a file with ange-ftp I get a DIRED-buffer of
this file instead.
e.g. when I try
M-x find-file /anonymous@vh213601.truman.edu:/pub/Quotes/quotes.el
the result is a DIRED buffer with the following contents:
/anonymous@vh213601.truman.edu:/pub/Quotes/quotes.el:
total 0
I tried to debug this, but got lost in ange-ftp internals. It seems that
the function ange-ftp-file-directory-p returns t for the file above.
