I think that even in the simpler chinese case, it would be good to
have RET exit the conversion state -- it's very important to have a
reliable and consistent `exit this special state now' key (even if
there are other more proper ways to exit).
Miles, I don't have any particular objection to RET, but (at least in
GB) typing `C-<SPC>' will select the current alternative.
But wait, are you saying you want RET to exit and do nothing? To not
insert a selection? That would be like isearch, wouldn't it. I
didn't realize that's what you were saying.
But that wouldn't help Dan J, would it? Dan was looking for a
shortcut for selecting the current alternative.
