Fellas, I often forget I'm still in Chinese mode and start typing
English.

ㄙo oㄈㄊen I ㄆㄖoㄉuㄘe a ㄨㄏoㄌe ㄌine ㄌiㄎe ㄊㄏㄧㄙ ㄅe
ㄈoㄖe I ㄋoㄊiㄘe ㄙoㄇeㄊㄏㄧㄋg ㄧㄙ ㄨㄖong.

The above says "so often I type a whole line like this before I notice
something is wrong".

Xcin would have beeped at me long before I got that far, however with
mule/quail/whatever it is only when I look up from the keyboard that I
notice how many keystrokes have gone down the drain like that.

Therefore, you need an "unreasonable input early warning system"
option, I'd say.
