Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:

Whenever I attempt to execute an emacs-lisp function in the buffer
*scratch*, I get the message "Autoloading failed to define function
edebug-debug".  This is for both C-j and C-x C-e.
