This bug report will be sent to the Free Software Foundation,
not to your local site managers!
Please write in English, because the Emacs maintainers do not have
translators to read other languages for them.
Your bug report will be posted to the bug-gnu-emacs@gnu.org mailing list,
and to the gnu.emacs.bug news group.
In GNU Emacs 21.1.2 (alphaev67-dec-osf5.0, X toolkit)

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:
Sometimes I have to enter several times `emacs' on my command line to
get rid of `Cannot connect to X server' message. It started the day I
upgraded to 21.1 (from 20.x). When emacs displays this message I can
run any other X11 clients but emacs. I don't know exactly what trigger
this bug neither how to reproduce it. The bug can happen at any time
even if I quit emacs and want to start it again. The number of times I
must try to write my command is also various (3 times or many more).
I have compiled emacs 21 with gcc 2.8.1 and I'm using a Windows NT X
server (X-Win32 5.0.3 build 1) to display emacs' windows.
