append-next-kill and Dired

From: Fabrice Bauzac
Subject: append-next-kill and Dired

This bug report will be sent to the Free Software Foundation,
not to your local site managers!
Please write in English, because the Emacs maintainers do not have
translators to read other languages for them.

Your bug report will be posted to the bug-gnu-emacs@gnu.org mailing list,
and to the gnu.emacs.bug news group.

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:

I think dired-copy-filename-as-kill ("w") is a kill command. In that
case, I think that the "\C-\M-w" append-next-kill command should apply
to dired-copy-filename-as-kill. But it is not the case: is that
normal?

To reproduce the "bug" (?), get a Dired window, put the cursor on a
file's line, type "w" to kill (copy) the filename, then put the cursor
on another file's line, type M-C-w (append-next-kill) and then w. At
this point I thought there would be the concatenation of the two
strings on the top of the kill ring. Then get an empty buffer (C-x b
temp RET) and yank (C-y). What has been yanked is the last filename,
and not both filenames.

I want to thank all the people who develop, support, or help in any
other means, free software. I wanted freedom. I get freedom.
Thanks.
