Hi,
If emacs is compiled with Lesstif and emacs geometry is set in .Xdefaults and
not in
.emacs, the value in .Xdefaults is ignored by the menubar. This means that the
menus
will always appear where they would if the geometry were +0+0. This doesn't
happen when
the geometry is set in .emacs.
I think it's just a matter of making the lesstif menubar take the .Xdefaults
value into
account.
This happens with 1.2, 2.0 et 2.1 Motif emulation on emacs 21.2 and cvs.
By the way, the PROBLEMS file says: "Only the Motif 1.2 emulation seems to be
stable
enough in LessTif."
Except for the previous problem, I've used emacs with 2.1 Motif emulation
without any
other problem.
