defun-prompt-regexp is set to
"^[ \t]*sub[ \t]+\\([^ \t\n{(;]+\\)\\([ \t]*([^()]*)[ \t]*\\)?[ \t]*)"
Changing it to
"^[ \t]*sub[ \t\n]+\\([^ \t\n{(;]+\\)\\([ \t\n]*([^()]*)[ \t\n]*\\)?[ \t\n]*)"
fixes the problem.
