...I've had `show-trailing-whitespace' set to t for a long while, and
certainly there are quite a few packages that put trailing whitespace
in read-only (or use-and-forget) buffers, like help, apropos, calendar
and customize.
Perhaps no "hidden imperfections", but definitely ugly :-)
