This bug report will be sent to the Free Software Foundation,
not to your local site managers!
Please write in English, because the Emacs maintainers do not have
translators to read other languages for them.

Your bug report will be posted to the bug-gnu-emacs@gnu.org mailing list,
and to the gnu.emacs.bug news group.

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:

I edit often files on a Linux system at Cornell from my MAC laptop. On the
laptop, the menu bar and popup menus have white letters on light grey
background, which makes them nearly invisible. The letters come out
black with light grey background (and readable) on the Linux box screen,
so there is an inversion of foreground color on my remote MAC.

Changing the Menu face has no effect whatsoever, on the Linux window or on the
Mac window. I have been able to change the Default face, the tool bar color,
and anything I tried to change, except the Menu face that is unchangeable.
I will appreciate if a suggestion is sent to giovanni@physics.wayne.edu
