bug#652: sylvania g netbook

Hi, recently purchased the above cpu, havent installed much
but did try to install advi for some LaTeX editing and
received and error will trying to install the suggested
packages.  

I typed this command:
sudo apt-get install advi

received these errors:
Setting up emacs22 (22.1-0ubuntu10.1) ...
Byte-compiling add-on packages, please wait... failed.
