   When did you check it out?  I checked in a fix a few hours ago that
   should have fixed this problem.

I will have to test it again but if it can help, here is the
output from C-u M-x emacs-version:

GNU Emacs 23.0.60.11 (i686-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 2.12.9) of 2008-10-09 on
