Hello Jason.

Just bootstrapped emacs a few hours ago and the problem is still there.

Have you a way to reproduce the problem? For me is as simple as:

;;; -*- mode: text; coding: windows-1252; -*-
€  <- This is the euro symbol, which is displayed as a box.

In GNU/Linux it is displayed correctly.
