Well, it was a nice thought but disabling clipboard didn't resolve the issue.

Can you try disabling the "clipboard redirection" between your local and remote 
machines?  This page:

  http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb457106.aspx

has the details about disabling that (search for "Disabling Clipboard 
Redirection").

Maybe this sharing is something Emacs doesn't live well with.

Still, if you have a recipe for reproducing this crash, and the data I 
requested from the GDB session, please give those as well.
