Hello.

This is a general problem with Emacs fontsets, they don't handle Emoji well.
Maybe we shouid have OSX-specific fontsets.

You can try to append Apple Color Emoji as a fallback, by putting this in your 
.emacs:

(set-fontset-font t nil (font-spec :family "Apple Color Emoji") nil 'append)
