Dear Sir,
I am using the "grep" utility to find one file within the whole filesystem,
which include a particular pattern. This is especially useful, when I can only
one word in a file, but can not exactly remember the file name. I have to
search
the file within the whole filesystem. I tried by using this, but I failed,
cd /
grep -r "pattern" *
I run the command in the linux enviroment, I always was prompted that 'Invalid
argument' when it proceed to the '/dev/log' directory.
Please help me, thank you very much
