gettext-0.10.35 uses .mo. But gettext-0.10.37 uses .gmo. RedHat 7.1 uses gettext-0.10.35. /usr/share/locale/*LC_MESSAGES/* are all .mo files. As the result, installing gettext-0.10.37 on RedHat 7.1 leads to many problems. H.J.
