First of all, might I suggest that you GNU guys add a synonym 'make test' for
'make check', so we poor CPAN guys don't get frustrated all the time with the
message "Don't know how to make test" (please)

The following garbage contains build/make/check/install reports for

   bison-1.33
   bison-1.34     (don't release before I finish testing :)
   autoconf-2.53
   automake-1.6

for builds with native C compilers (in 32 bit mode) on the following systems

   HP-UX 11.00
   HP-UX 10.20
   AIX 4.3.3
   AIX 4.2.1

that's why I chose a more generic Cc address. Enjoy
