This is not how weak is supposed to work.  Yes, we used to have this in
glibc and SGI did this.  But this is not how the original SysV code is
doing this.  The problem is that the ABI specs never documented this
(and now it's too late).  glibc will change to the correct SysV behavior
sometime soon.
