But that was my point: If you reference symbols from a shared library,
they may be resolved into a non-GPL library on your own system, and
into a GPL library on one of your zillion users system.  If you write
a Motif or OpenGL application you have absolutely no way to determine
whether your end users will link into the original (proprietary)
libraries or into Lesstif or Mesa.  This is a matter of configuration
on the end system.  And this applies to every dynamically linked
executable, that is the nature of dynamic linking.
