docs say 0.12-pre4 (I think due to doc/version.texi)

In section 12 of the manual (either from the 0.12 tarball from Bruno's site, 
or from the 0.12
tarball from the main gnu ftp site -- I just checked it as well), there are 
some references
to 0.12-pre4.

For example (quoting the HTML):

VERSION=0.12-pre4

or

AM_INIT_AUTOMAKE(gettext, 0.12-pre4)


My guess is that version.texi needs to be updated; it says 0.12-pre4.
