That's not sufficient. You also have to show that, for example, the
pattern [/-:] is equivalent to the pattern [/:0-9]. These patterns
must be equivalent in any ASCII locale because / comes just before 0
and : comes just after 9. Therefore they must be equivalent in the
POSIX locale, even on an EBCDIC host.

Sorry, I don't have a copy of your earlier email, but perhaps you can
deduce some test cases from the above comments.
