Thanks for this patch. Without a complete working example, as in
gettext-tools/examples/hello-clisp/, this is not very useful, however.
Can you please tell me which Scheme implementation you use with gettext?
Last time I looked at guile, it didn't support Unicode strings nor
an interface to libintl.
