and you were trapped.  There seems to be no GNU implementation of file.

Thus bug-gnu-utils isn't the right bug report address and in most cases,
your bug report would not be read by anyone.

If you don't want to search for the bug report in the original tarball,
just use the Debian bug tracking system.  The Debian maintainer will then
take care of delivering the problem to the original maintainer.

I noticed the following in file-4.14:

But nothing about Abiword.

I'm not sure I know what's the right way here.  Hopefully the maintainer
of file will help us here.
