On my Mac OS X 10.4.2 (Tiger) machine, with zsh and diff 2.8.1:
prunille:~> diff <(echo ab) <(echo cd)
prunille:~>
Under Linux (Debian), with the same diff version (2.8.1), I get
the expected result:
ay:~> diff <(echo ab) <(echo cd)
1c1
< ab
---
> cd
zsh: exit 1 diff <(echo ab) <(echo cd)
ay:~[1]>
--
