Never mind: I'd been assuming that the input files would contain only
lines of the format ^\.\.\.[0-9]{3}.*$ ... forgetting that we're talking
about wget logs, which are only likely to have such lines for status
details. In the former case, I'd be correct that it is equivalent to the
-v version, but I'm obviously incorrect wrt the likely actual inputs.
