Translation of LordsAWar - German

Dear Developers,

I would like to contribute to LordsAWar and as I'm not good in programming
(I can only PHP, MySQL, a bit JavaScript, CSS + HTML) I'd like to translate
the project into German.
But I don't know if this translation would be included and who I have to
send the translation. Those three Email-Adresses were the only ones I found.
I attached a po-file with the first few words translated. As soon as I know
the following I'll translate everything:

   1. Is this project still alive (are there developers working on it)?
   2. Will a .deb file be created (I want to be able to use my translation
   on my Ubuntu 8.10 PC)?
   3. Who do I have to send the translation?
   4. Is this translation-file I attached ok?
   5. Does another (german) translation exist?

Some points I'd improve on your Website <http://www.nongnu.org/lordsawar/>:

   1. Thumbnails which are floating around the text for these big pictures
   2. A contact email-adress on this page (and the name of this person if
   the adress doesn't make it obvious)
   3. Link directly to your translation-page
   4. Add headings (e.g. Developmental Steps, Screenshots, Videos)
   5. Don't creat empty pages: http://www.lordsawar.com/html/

I just began to play LordsAWar and I think its a great project!
