Well, it depends on the content of your .gnubgautorc... BTW, can you
mail your .gnubgautorc to me. It might give me a clue about where it
crashed.
In the future you can do a number of things to avoid losing your setup.
(1) backup your .gnubgautorc before running a new build/install
(2) insert vital stuff in .gnubgrc (for example, find the "set
appaerance ..." line in .gnubgautorc and copy it into .gnubgrc).
.gnubgrc is read after .gnubgautorc, so any settings in .gnubgrc will
override whatever is in .gnubgautorc
