This procedure will work if you import, say, SGG files from one
directory only.

For example, assume my default path is "C:\gnubg\sgg" for SGG files. Now
for some reason I want to open "C:\download\blah.sgg". If I save
settings my default SGG path is now "C:\download": I may inadvertedly
overwrite my default paths.

Well, you only have to this once :-) And this procedure has the
advantage that you'll never overwrite your settings.
