Perhaps introduce a hyphen between the two, i.e. PositionID-MatchID? I
think this makes it easier to distinguish the two. It also makes it
easier for users to copy'n'waste either of the IDs.

BTW, is it really true that nobody noticed it's possible to change the
match length in edit mode?
