I propose this:
copy .gnubgautorc to 'whatever' (so you have a backup)
then run gnubg
delete the file .gnubgautorc
and now save the settings with gnubg
Settings/Save Settings
(this will create a new .gnubgautorc)

Let know if it works/doesn't work?
