TO be more specific, since Aug 26 2003 my middele mouse->double click
fails in gnubg (very useful to avoid RSI).

My  guess is  that  instead of  going  to some  "proper" software  layer
allowing the external  setup to redirect the mouse  events gnubg now has
hardcoded the mouse button behaviour somehow.

BTW Jellyfish has always had the same annoyance.
