I don't think it's worthwhile implementing this in GTK+ 1.3.
In GTK+ 2.x we can use colors (or more generally: styles), and the user
would be able to control the style (color, font, font size, etc) by
modifying the accompanying gnubg.gtkrc file.
We could supply some reasonable default, and allow users to change the
style through gnubg.gtkrc if they really insists that moves with
"whoppers" should be coloured in Burger King's colours and Burger King's
font!
