Hi,

At first I was sharing Scott's opinion and preferred the old method. After getting used to it, I agree the 'new' error rate already given in millipoints is more intuitive and readable.

Now I realize why it took me some time to adapt and why the current format is confusing : the 2 decimal places have no justification IMHO, and the most readable format would definitely be to remove them.

Indeed, it just adds no valuable information at all, and even doesn't make sense when GNU gives me an error rate of, say, 12.48 : if you think about it, those 0.48 are *hundreds* of millipoints, which just doesn't make sense.

My 2 cents worth

Olivier

PS : Jorn, BTW, I contacted Olivier Baur as you suggested, to provide help for the French translation, work in progress.

Hi,

the overall error rates (for: checker, cube, luck, overall) in the match
stats are given as a loss in equity points. However, the corresponding
error rates per move/decision are given in equity points * 1000. I'm
finding this a little confusing and it makes reading the stats a little
painful and I was wondering if this is a bug or if this has been done
purposely as I've noticed this behaviour only recently.

I added it recently -- personally I thought it would help readability,
but if that is not the case I can remove it again.
