Hi folks,

a while ago I reported about the "slow" evaluation while playing
against gnubg (analysis and rollouts were fine). I think I found the
reason now:

When closing "messages" and "Commentary" everything is fine and
fast. This is reproduceable here on my notebook. I also always
wondered, that the fonts in the message window were somewhat ugly
and differed from the menu fonts.

p4, 2.5 ghz, 512 mb ram, nvidia 420 go, nvidia driver from
nvidia.com

SuSE-Linux, gtk2, truetype enabled, /configure
--prefix=/home/ace/local/ --without-guile --without-gdbm
--with-python --without-board3d

calibrate: ~ 22500

I already assumed earlier, that this could be a problem of gtk2, and
this is another inidz.

Ciao

Achim
