Hi,
Thanks for your email.
I'd like to be able to compile gnubg myself because I would like to play around with the maths functions and gnubg seems such a great open platform for experimenting in this way.
But I don't need the graphical interface. Maybe thats what complicates the compilation.
So I'll try to compile the sources of the CLI without GTK, on cygwin.
Are these the steps to take?:

I downloaded and detared gnubg-source-MAIN-20070601.tar.gz

     ./configure --without-gtk2
     make
     make install

you seem to have hit all the bugs. The last one I don't know what to
do about except to do proper debugging. Perhaps you should stick to
MaX's builds, unless you have very specific needs.
