gnubg didn't install a desktop file prior to the most recent package, so
that confused some people since it didn't show up in the Gnome menu.  It's
there if you run it from a shell prompt.

The latest package has a proper desktop file.

(Sorry, I'm a long-time fvwm user, so things like this often don't occur
to me until someone else points them out.)
