BTW, I just noticed that my last build under Win XP has a few issues:

- very very small font used in the temp map for equity and even smaller
for best move
- especially true for cube dec temp maps, where you have two matrices
- making the window bigger makes the fonts a bit bigger but if you show eq
and move at the same time, they overlap

This is not specific to your build, I have the same inconveniences on a unix (FreeBSD) build, except the overlapping.

This is not that recent either, for me it started a few months ago. I was under the impression that you did builds more frequently than that, so it may be related to a change in something else (gtk ?) that happened on my system earlier than on yours.

With the default size, the best move is unreadable. The problem is mostly with the square window. If its width were for instance 150% of its height, the fonts would look much better.

Another inconvenience is that the move is smaller and the equity larger. Given the choice, I'd prefer the opposite : I more often look at these maps for the best move, and for the equity there is always the color grade at the bottom.

If you place your mouse pointer over a square in one of these tables you should get a "hover box" that contains the data within the square, and the size of the font in the hover box should be independent of the size of the temperature map window. This feature seems to be enabled even if the "Show best moves" and "Show equities" checkboxes are unchecked.

At least this is how things work on my build of gnubg on my MacBook.
