What OS are you using, and what GNUBG version?
If this is on MAC OS/X, then the problem with fonts will be resolved
soon. If this is on windows go to the directory you installed GNUBG .
There is a file in that directory called gnubg.gtkrc
This file contains all the font information for GNUBG. Of particular
interest might be this section:
-------------
style "default"
{
#uncomment to make default font smaller
#font_name = "9"
-------------
If you remove the '#' (Very important for this to work) from the
font_name line in that section and then change the number you can change
the point size of the main font in GNUBG. I think 9 might even be the
default. Try increasing to something higher and then reload GNUBG.
If you are using a Unix/Linux system the gnubg.gtkrc file usually is
under /usr/local/share/gnubg or /usr/share/gnubg
